The NSAC Team

The NSAC Team consists of four sub-teams, The Presidency, and The Board. Each team has one to two Director(s) and Organisers  who oversee a particular area of the organisation’s work.

Typically the Team consists of around 25-30 ambitious and enthusiastic students who help put together our annual conference, our workshops, our newsletter and everything else the organisation does.

Presidency

Felice Basbøll

President

Felice Basbøll is the current president of NSAC. This is her third hear in the organisation, and she’s currently studying history and political science at Trinity College Dublin

Selma Lyhne

Vice President

Selma is currently an undergrad student at Sciences Po in Reims, France where she is studying an interdisciplinary social science degree. At Sciences Po she is an executive member of the debate union and the philosophy society.

Furthermore, Selma graduated from Niels Brock DIG in 2023 and has been on exchange in Nova Scotia, Canada for a year, in Durham, England for 2 months, and studied in Granada, Spain for a summer.

Board

The Board of the Nordic Study Abroad Community is appointed at the annual general meeting in January and is responsible for ensuring that the organisation acts in accordance to its bylaws. It also provides valuable input when organisational changes are being decided on.

Nicolaj Peters

Board Member

Nicolaj has been a part of the NSAC team for the past 3 years and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management at the University of Loughborough. As part of his degree he is doing a placement year working as a marketing coordinator at KILROY International, before doing a study abroad semester at Bocconi University in Milan.

Having been to two international schools and currently studying abroad, Nicolaj has the ambition to share his experience and assist Nordic students in finding their path to study abroad.

 

Jeppe Klitgaard

Board Member

Having attended no less than 6 Nordic Study Abroad Conferences, Jeppe has finished his BA Natural Sciences at University of Cambridge and now works as an R&D Scientist in a sensor technology company. He has been a member of the NSAC team since December 2018.

Outside of his studies he enjoys politics, woodworking, and bouldering. He has organisational experiences from boards and association work in both education and political settings.

Sia Asmussen

Board Member

Sia Asmussen has been a part of the NSAC team for the past 3 years and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in BSc Business Management at King’s College London. Besides her studies, Sia is a Student Intern at the Danish Chamber of Commerce in London and an Executive Education Student Associate at King’s College London.

Kristoffer Skjærbæk

Board Member

Kristoffer holds a  Bsc. in International Business from CBS. Moreover, for the past four years, he has worked full time in one of the biggest digital marketing agencies in Denmark, where he has held various postions. Furthermore, he has held various positions in Nordic Study Abroad Community, including President in 2022.

Mathias Jørgensen

Board Member

Mathias has been part of the NSAC team for the past 3 years and is currently pursuing a double major in Political Science and Economics and Philosophy at Minerva University. Besides his degree, Mathias works as Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of the International Center for Religion & Diplomacy, a Washington DC based NGO.

As an international student and with various international job experience, Mathias is passionate about sharing his learnings and helping other Nordic students go abroad.

University & Partner Relations

The Events & University Team is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with top-tier universities for the annual NSAC Conference. Working directly with university representatives from some of the best universities around the world, the team makes sure that participants at the NSAC Conference leave with an unforgettable experience. Also, they organise events throughout the year.

Malou Brønnum

Director

Malou has recently started her bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Mathematics at Copenhagen University. Earlier, with her high school, she went on a two-month study trip to Durham in England. Here, she learned that she enjoys encountering new and different cultures. Besides her studies, Malou works as a student assistant at If Insurance.

Emilia Jensen

Director

Emilia is currently working as a Customer Success Manager at a brokerage in Dublin, while studying office administration. In her sparetime she likes to travel and experience other cultures.

Sofie Jakobsen

Organiser

Sofie is currently studying English Literature and Classical Languages at Trinity College Dublin. Having gone through the proceedings of applying for a university abroad and experiencing the difficulties one might encounter when doing so, she hopes to assist others in their own process.
During Sofie’s gap year, she spent her time working and travelling abroad to expand her cultural knowledge and understanding, something which she enjoys combining with her studies of literature and language.

Admission & Outreach

The Admissions and Outreach Team handles all stages of the admission journey for the NSAC Conference to make sure that the most ambitious and curious students are invited to participate each year. In this endeavour, the Team also works directly with high schools across the Nordics.

Andrea Sun Hertz

Director

Andrea is a third year student at Rysensteen Gymnasium in Copenhagen. She studies social sciences, English and Spanish.

She has spent an exchange year in Spain and therefore has an unconditional love for spanish food and music. This experience sparked her interest in meeting different cultures and her ambition to study abroad. Andrea hopes to work and study abroad in the future and wants to help others achieve that as well.

Camilla Knudsen

Director

Camilla is currently a third year student at Rysensteen Gymnasium, where she is studying social science and mathematics. Her school has a Global Citizen Program, which helps Camilla understand the possibilities of studying abroad and learning about new cultures. It has made Camilla interested in studying abroad herself, but also in helping others to study abroad.

Andreas Trosborg

Organiser

Andreas is a second year student at Silkeborg Business High School. He focuses on business economics, marketing, and business law.

Andreas spent his 10th grade abroad as an exchange student in Wisconsin in the United States. There, and after the exchange year, he fell in love with an international network and life. He wishes to inspire more students to go abroad – no matter if it is one semester or a full degree.

Camilla Nielsen

Organiser

Camilla is currently taking a gap year after finishing high school last year. She started out in NSAC as an ambassador and after she finished high school, she became a team member in the Admission & Outreach team.

Emmaline Valeur

Organiser

Emmaline is currently taking a gap year after finishing upper secondary school and will start her bacheor degree in economics this summer. At the moment, she works as a project assistant at a consultant firm.

Marketing & Data Analysis

The Marketing and Data Analysis Team is responsible for getting the word of NSAC out to as many people as possible. They ensure that the website, social media platforms, newsletters, and the NSAC blog, are employed effectively to maximise our reach.

Mathilde Baudry

Director

Mathilde is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science at the University of Copenhagen. She has previously been on exchange and is planning on going on exchange again, as well as studying a Master’s abroad. Besides her studies, Mathilde works as a communications assistant at an international law firm.

Nora Mossing

Director

Besides being a yoga & kombucha enthusiast, Nora is currently working at Aarhus University, where she is assisting research projects within the domain of sustainability and human behavior. Having volunteered as a teacher in Tanzania and worked as a waitress in Spain, Nora discovered her eagerness to keep exploring the world, reinforcing her dream of pursuing her studies abroad.

Christoffer Gernow

Organiser

Christoffer is a third year student at Øregård Gymnasium where he serves as Student Body President. Christoffer is concentrating in Social Science, Mathematics, and English. Outside of school, Christoffer is involved in Danish Youth Politics with the Liberal Alliance Youth and formerly with the Danish Social Liberal Youth where he worked on Martin Lidegaard’s 2022 parliamentary reelection campaign.

After spending his childhood abroad in London and Budapest, Christoffer has long wished to continue his studies abroad in the United States after he graduates in June 2024.

Corporate & Finance

The Corporate & Finance Team builds and maintains relationships with corporate partners. Moreover, they apply for grants throughout the year to secure that our Non-Profit organisation can help as many students as possible. They work closely with Community to ensure that venues are found for all NSAC events.

Linus Lindquist

Director

Linus is the current director of the Corporate and Finance Team. This is his second year in the role as director and third in NSAC in toal. As of summer 2023, Linus will be studying economics at the Univeristy of Copenhagen (Cand.polit), with an ambition to do his masters in the UK. 

Aside from his studies, Linus is a student assistans at an economics oriented consulting firm and attends a folk high school focused on music and debating in Copenhagen.

Christian With Andersen

Director

Christian has a BSc in International business from CBS. During his studies he was on exchange in North Carolina and Hong Kong. He currently works at Polaris as an Analyst. From September 2024, he wishes to continue his studies abroad.
